Painswick on Wednesday?
« on: May 01, 2006, 12:27:38 PM »
James Bennet is going to show me the error of my ways.  We are planning to play at 9:45 on Wednesday.  Would anybody like to join us?

Ciao

Damn! :'(

I'm driving down to Deal on Wed. with Ian Dickson, but I don't think I can convince him to get up at 2:30am to make that tee time!

Sean--if you don't mend your ways about Painswick, you'll be banned from the sing-song at Buda IV.  Be the ball, grasshopper........ ;)

Would love to be there!

No laying up on those short par 4s!  ::)  And say hi to the lads on the terrace for us post-round.  Last time I was there, Kathleen and I were included in the tea-and-toast the losers had to buy for the winners!

I think you'll become a convert Sean.
Ian played at Painswick ( Buda -1)
Could you not persuade JB to try that Hergest Ridge course you're always banging on about? (edit: http://www.kingtongolf.co.uk/kington.html)

Sean

we don't have to play Painswick, although I expect it will be an education and experience for me.

Rich

I was at Deal with Tony Muldoon on Sunday - I didn't expect to get there but I did.  I'll remember those greens for a long time.  And so many uneven lies on a course with no elevation change.  Look forward to hearing about your work there.  By the way, I have surreptiously imported an item for you, from Pine Valley no less.  A Titleist 90 Pro Trajectory I think.  Apparently you will value this!.

Tony Muldoon - I have inadvertently got your book - I'll be in touch soon about it.

James B (currently residing in a 400 year-old manor house just south of Bath).
Bob; its impossible to explain some of the clutter that gets recalled from the attic between my ears. .  (SL Solow)

Hi James

I'm playing in a TunaMint at Deal, so I hope it won't be "WORK!!??" :)

I am humbled by the thought of an offer of a ProTraj harvested from the Pines of the Valley near Clementon.  There was a day when I would turn my nose up at any 90 compression ball, but these days ain't it!

Look forward to seeing you north of the Sassenach border soon.

Rich

PS--Play Painswick.  You'll have a lot of fun, even if Sean girns his way around the course. ;)
