I figured this one deserves it's own thread.
It's late Fall a couple of years ago and my wife and I had taken a weekend trip out to the Eastend, on the way home we're on Montauk highway and I say, "let's drive through Shinnecock." So off we go, north off of 27a and at about the clubhouse (which is on the left hand side) coming towards us I see a a fellow remarkably resembling my Dad driving just as slowly as we are, swan necking all about like we are to absorb as much of the scenery as possible without actually stopping the car.
Sure enough it's my Dad and his girlfriend. As we exchange greetings my wife says to my Dad's girlfriend "I see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!" and we all laugh. With no idea either of us was out East that Sunday morning we end up in the same place, at exactly the same time, but coming from entirely opposite directions.
You might say that says alot about my Dad and me.
