MWP,

When Tiger was recently asked about his interest in getting into golf course architecture he replied that he was very interested and the courses he most enjoys and ones that would inspire him in his design efforts are the Sandbelt courses!  He likes the look of the bunkers and the strategies inherent in the designs.  He went on to say he doesn't like buried elephant grounds for golf.  I think it will be interesting to see what sort of courses he ends up producing.

Wayne,
I agree and also with whom he aligns himself...hopefully  he will study that as carefully he does everything else.
I have a feeling he will look closely at many we seem to like on this site, such as Gil, Mike De and TD..what an intersting alignment any of those would be.

Now that is something to really look forward to.
I just hope we dont get another Fazio "look" from him..all that modern water and sand crap.

I use the namt Fazio, not particularly as Fazio bashing but simply as an example of the modern era stuff I do not really admire....personal opinions and all that :)

MWP,

It might end up being a combination of Tiger and the design team at IMG should they want to keep things in-house as is their wont.

I don't know if IMG has done any original design work, I suppose they have.  Their team did a very respectable job of the restoration of The Country Club in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

I agree with you that a combination of Tiger and Gil or Tom D or Mike De and a few others is something fun to consider.
