These two courses shouldn't be too difficult to identify.

Good luck!

Do you need to wear shorts to play here?

Or a Cape?

Chris:

Any idea of the date of the photo?

The "lesser" of the two courses has been changed and I think this is pre.  I thought that was a really fun course.

I left my right ACL on the road to the other one.

I just zoooomed in on the original aerial photo, the hotel is under construction and the golf course is not.

Rob,

Shorts are a good idea, but they have to be lenghty and tailored, and preferably a gawd-awful colour.

Bill,

I don't know when the photo was taken, but you're right, the more northerly course was recently redesigned by Roger Rulewich, and I think the name has been changed as well.

The hotel is still closed as part of a two year renovation project by Marriott.  I once stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the first tee, looking southeast, really neat-o keen, I must say.

I hope they did not muck the place up too much, teh middle of the back nine used to be such a calm peaceful place, it was amazing (so were the waterside holes as well).

I'm sure the hotel will be great, average room rate for that area is tops in the world with an astounding (but acceptable) average of $357/day.

Should I assume we're talking about Mid-Ocean?

MOC at the bottom and Castle Harbour (NLE - Banks  :'( ) at the upper right.

A Requiem
Castle Harbour was quirky and fun and goofy and just the cup of tea for island golf while drinking dark and stormy's picked up at the turn. I first played it about a week after my first time around the Forsgate - Banks Course.  I thought I was cool, two Banks in a month. ;)

Up and down and blind and blinder, the first nine was wild and wooly, along the harbour over hill and dale, short and quirky.

Much of the middle of the second nine was built on a pastoral plain from where you really could not see the ocean much, sorta cool really, given how much Bermuda really is in the ocean.  At the southwest corner of the routing you got a good look at the blind 16th at MOC.

Man-o-man I hope they didn't f*ck it up too badly.

The Castle is dead, long live the castle.  The ball markers were little H-shaped castles.

Bermuda is for the old fart and/or lover in you.   You make your own night life, really.  We did bring our daughter one Mother's Day, and she loved it, but it's best for couples.

Been too long since I've been there.

The old Castle Harbour course is now called the Tucker's Point Club.  The other course is, of course, the Mid Ocean Club.
