With all due respect, I don't think it's the grain - what you're describing would appear to be good old Newtonian gravity.

I think that the grasses AGNC uses are virtually grain-free.

I could certainly be wrong here, but when I was there last year, grain appeared to be a non-issue.

The 10th green slopes from back to front.

Gravity would make a putt from back to front faster and a putt from front to back slower, but, Dunlop is saying that the grain counters the effect of Sir Isaac Newton's law.
