Who cares about the course, I want to hear what Anthony Butler thinks of the people/members in Darien?

Great piece of property, rolling hills and a wandering stream.

Very good Willie Park, Jr. layout that has never been played in the sequence it was designed for. The clubhouse was meant to go on the top of the hill about 400 yards from the road. It was built on the road and the course played par 34-36 until the new clubhouse was built on the northeastern end of the property. To accomplish this a Park par three was replaced by a Myrtle Beach par three that is totally out of character for the course. So now Woodway has 17 Park and one alien.

Still oneof the best courses on the Gold Coast.

This sentence pretty much sums up your existence thus far on GCA.com. You have no interest in golf course architecture, or at least none that you've displayed yet.  Offering only comments on a club (as opposed to its golf course) and unsolicited defenses when you perceive Pat Mucci is being criticized is hardly worth a member spot that somebody who actually cares about golf course architecture and who might add some value could use. Turn in your nom de plume to Ran, and save us the monotony of reading your drivel.

Does your interest/knowledge of golf course architecture ever begin?

Sorry for the threadjack. There never seems to be an appropriate place for this.

Ditto.

Summer's just around the corner, Hamilton. Surely your time would be better spent at this website.
