another rollback idea

We have all discussed eliminating the wooden tee to shorten the game.  We have discussed limited flight balls too.  How about eliminating the driver?  The fairway wood would be the longest club in the bag and you can hit it off the ground.  I cannot hit a driver off the ground, I either top the ball or slice bad.  Then again, I cannot hit a fairway wood off the ground either, same result.  So when I do not want to hit my driver I take out my 1 iron or 2 iron which I can play quite nicely.

No drivers, what do you all think?

Here's one for you. Give up this "firm and fast" nonsense and water the course, and let the grass grow to 3/4 inch.

I guarentee you will lose 20-40 yards off the tee.

Paul,
Don't you need to give proper attribution for your quote?  ;D
