Following on Anthony Nysse's introduction of Mr. Ranum, let me note that a new member of the DG is agronomy consultant Terry Buchen, CGCS, MG.  I know Terry and his firm, Golf Agronomy International have consulted at a bundle of courses around the world, and he was Superintendent at Double Eagle from grow in for many years.  Welcome Terry!

Welcome Terry.

Golf agronomy and reanalyzed playing conditions due to some new agronomic thinking is getting to be a big topic on here---thank God. I sure hope you participate in those threads.

For a number of years I've heard of you as one of the three so-called "Killer Bees". At least that's what I thought you three guys were---eg some combination form of insect/human ;) but I realized a couple of months ago that it's the "Three Killer Bs" because the three of you have names beginning with B. You, Bator and who's the third B? I should know but I forgot apparently due to either old age or too many bouts of Lyme's disease.  :P

Another Turf Guy! We're taking over! Welcome Mr. Buchen. I look forward to hearing about some of your experiences in regards to what you deal with today and also some stories from Double Eagle. Is Todd Voss still there?

Hey goes out to Terry. I use Terry as a turf consultant on most of my projects......I know he reads this, but has held back on posting - just takes too much time, but I hope he reconsiders.

Maybe his typing speed has increased from his old 78 mistakes a minute?

Can't have too many industry participants, imho - welcome.

It might be interesting to read a My Home Course written by one of the many green keepers we have on board. (Which also reminds me that I need to finish my own writeup, which has languished since I started it.)

Phil,

Good to hear from you and hoping you are well? I was just in Hawaii consulting last week and your name came up (all good) a few times. I look forward to catching up with you one of these days.

Take care and continued success.
