Except for the 2nd (or 11th) hole, the course to the north looks a whole lot wider!!
Is there a par 3 course around the apts or is that practice?

It looks like a nine-hole par-3 course.  Here's a diagram of the entire course layout from the club's website.

Actually, a quick Google search tells me that it was La Morajela Golf Club that Crosby died on.  Any perception of good timing on my part is purely coincidental.
