Anyone ever hear of Barbaron?
"The Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau has announced that the new Jack Frost National Golf Club in Blakeslee, Pa., has begun the final construction phase. If all goes well, the course will open in fall 2006.
Grow-in is now underway at Jack Frost National, which was designed and is being built by Barbaron, a Florida-based company. The 18-hole course will measure more than 7,200 yards from the tips, and will feature Lo-Mo Bluegrass fairways and Penn-4 bentgrass greens. The facility will be conditioned by a double-row irrigation system and will feature five sets of tees and a state-of-the-art practice facility.
“This piece of land is turning into a magnificent golf course,” says Tom Wheary, president of Golf Strategies, LLC, which is the project manager at Jack Frost National and will manage course operations after it opens. “Mother Nature has been very cooperative throughout the last year.”
Jack Frost National Golf Club has established an office in Blakeslee. For more information, call 866/268-5503."
