Well, for starters, right now there is nobody under par in the field. On #5, which is 532 yards and downwind, the stroke average is like 5.2, and there was a bogey from someone who hit the green in two. On six Vijay drove it 4 yards from the green only to be forced to make a 7-footer for par, and after he missed the green. Sergio chipped off a green into a bunker and two players are 13! over par (not even two rounds through).
The average score for the winner has been 22-under in the history of Kapalua. Now the winner will hopefull be 6 or 7 under. Is Kapalua playing more like a US Open then anything else?? Would Kapalua be considered as an Open or PGA site. The way it's playing, this could be just as tough as any major. And, if the wind keeps up, will the winner even be under par??
