Connection Speed
« on: December 31, 2005, 06:52:50 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm doing my "My Home Course" and want to make sure I don't crash any systems out there, but I want to give you as much detail and quality in photos as I can.  So the million dollar question revolves around the average connection speed you guys have out there.  So tell me what you got.  Oh what resolution do you run your screens at.

Thanks!

JT

I can download stuff at about 140 kb/s.  My system resolution is probably 1024 by 768.  My guess is that a properly sized .jpg here should be 300-500k bytes.

Does that sound right guys?

Jim,
All the images for My Home Course are set at 600 wide by whatever tall. (usually its 600 x 400)

Resolution, try to make at 72 dpi. This way it doesn't overload anyone's system. If you want, send them to me so I can prep them for Ran and get them back to him in good time.

Send them to: tommynacc@gmail.com (My new main email address)
