OK I see N Berwick & Gullane and found Muirfield. What is the place directly E of Muirfield?

Also - Why is this the ONLY swatch of Scotland in higher resolution?

 A pre-cursor of good thing to come perhaps?

It's not ... part of Edinburgh, Glasgow and an area Northwest of Dumbarton are in greater detail ... also Aberdeen up north ...

Well, yes, there is certainly a lot of cool stuff around that neighborhood.  Unfortunately, panning over to the other side of the bay we find that there are no clear shots of The Old Course.  However, Muirfield and Gullane look pretty awesome.

Of course, the primary shot which is where the link takes you to is the wonderful, original redan at North Berwick West Links, hence my Christmas card to Bill aka redanman.

Great aerial of the Redan!  Scroll a bit left and down and you get an equally good look at the Pit #13 with the wall pinching the green against the dune and beach.  I wanna be there!  :'( ;D

Go a bit farther left and you get a really good look at why #9 is such a good par 5.  Those two center bunkers and how narrow the left side of the fairway is with the wall over there so tight.  And the other side is no piece of cake either, last July the rough was over a foot high!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Kwanza etc to all the GCA friends.  And good golf in 2006!
