Your Favorite Shot...
« on: January 01, 2006, 10:52:22 PM »
What is your favorite shot in golf?

Better yet, break it down...

What is your favorite approach shot , tee shot, and putt (your favorite green to put on maybe)

My favorite shot I have ever played was the fifth at Kapalua Bay over the beautiful ocean.  I love the ocean, and I have great memories of that hole beacuse my dad put his on the green.  He wanted to put his on the green and make a par so bad, and when he did he had the biggest smile.  It was cool, and really special.  I'll post my my favorite tee shot and putt (or green) later ;)

I'm on a roll, making mediocre contributions.  However...

My favorite shot, young squire, is the low punched hook shot.  As an Oregonian, I discovered the joy of playing golf on the sand in the wind a few years ago.  A low hook into the wind works great, especially if the ground is firm.  I go down to the beach and just try to groove it, and when I've got it, it produces many of my favorite all time shots.
