Friend of mine in St. Andrews emailed to say Adams, the former head greenkeeper at the Old Course, is in trouble in his current job with the European PGA tour for some transgression while in China that ended up with him being escorted out of the country.

Anybody else hear this?

China is not a good place to have "transgressions" in. Not what one would call and open and diverse country.
The things a man has heard and seen are threads of life, and if he pulls them carefully from the confused distaff of memory, any who will can weave them into whatever garments of belief please them best.

I think that picture is a poor choice for a joke.

Hi Tony,
As you well know that throughout my time at St Andrews and now with the European Tour, I have always conducted myself in a professional manner.
I have been to China 3 times this year, and have not had a transgression as far as I can remember.  Good to hear that you are still alive and that you are about to publish your new book, will it be researched and full of factual information this time or are you just writing this one on your own.

Yours Aye

Eddie

I have to admit, you have my interest up.  Is this a really inside story, or something everyone knows but me?  ::)  Sounds very 007 like.
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Eddie,

Glad to see you are alive and well. I heard some awful stories. Maybe I had the country wrong. Could it have been Korea or Portugal, or Sweden? The police in Harrogate keep emailing to find out where you are and I refuse to tell them.
The book will contain many fact that were thoroughly researched by me and a crack staff of ex-communicated nuns on the run from INTERPOL.
