I do not know the history of this club, but relay the following: apparently there was a rather eccentric woman who bred peacocks etc on the course, who held 65% of the equity.
I am told that she died last year and that the family trust is now trying to put this stake on the market.
Does anybody know if this story is true?
If so, it must be pretty unusual that a market value is placed on a classic golf course. I wonder what it will be worth?
