Friends,
thanks for so many kind words (and some highly amusing anecdotes at the expense of my motherland - your names have been taken for future action!)

You'll all have guessed by now that I am looking forward to the trip with just a little anticipation  - fuelled by several months now of snippets of info and drool-worthy images from various chums here.

I am overwhelmed by the offers of meetings/golfings/eatin'n'drinkins which I've had, (esp to Mr Dodd!). All of which I'll endeavour my fullest to attend. What a time we'll have!

This GCA place really is the best. Let's keep it that way.

FBD.

PS Mr Gawith - there's no sodding way I'm travelling like a gajillion miles to my favourite golf course in the World and 'freakin' (TM: Shivas) laying up on 16. I will be as manly as I possibly can and fire whatever club my caddy hands me in the general direction of the distant green!

Martin,

I am going to the Duke’s annual meeting next month.  Big question, Do I wear a kilt or not? I do not want to offend anyone, especially my Scottish friends.  How would look upon it?

Tim

You'll look fine.  Just don't put anything sharp in your sporran.

Rich

PS--I'll be up at the Dukes on the 9th on business.  Any chance of getting together again?

Tim,
I'll second Mr G's assessment. You'll go down a storm! Just make sure you do it full justice (i.e. - Goin' Commando!!!)

FBD.

PS I get home on the 9th. Not sure what time or how jet-lagged but I might make it up too.
