The Country Club is pretty neat - the little squirrel w/an acorn.  Not so obviously relevant as The Creek's sandpiper, but still subtle yet attractive.

Sleepy Hollow is up there, as already noted.

Meadowbrook also has a good one - the club's genesis as a polo club is the theme.

Most U.K. logo's I've seen are oversized and ugly although the R&A is a notable exception - the classy equal of any in the world, IMO.

And Frar's Head is, in fact, right up there near the top.

Could somebody post Sand Hills' logo?  I've never seen it but it sure got a lot of support here.

Chip:

Sand Hills's logo (assuming there's only one) is an SH sort of askew that has to be designed to look like a brand---eg cattle brand. The neat thing about their logo is they have a lot of apparel where the logo is the same color as the apparel so it can be pretty hard to see which of course is interestingly subtle.  ;)

BTW, Chip, you totally finked out on me on that Merion fairway expansion thread about 2-3 months ago and after prodding me to get on with it, no less.

In Friar's Head's Guest Policies:

"There are no rakes in our bunkers or dunes, so we ask that you smooth your tracks and prints with your feet."

Why no rakes?  Because they spoil the course in some way, or could interfere with play?

Anyone know of other courses with the same policy?

Years ago Pine Valley had a similar policy.

I like that. That is 'old school' cool.
