My favorite of the ones I took.  Probably as much for the memory of the moment as the picture.  I apologize that it is so big, but I think it looks much better this way.

Wayne's picture is occasionally my desktop background.

Also reminds me of the cover to Genesis's "Wind and Wuthering."

I humbly submit my picture of the 8th and 16th at Manny's:

8th Hole, Manufacturer's Golf and Country Club

16th Hole, Manufacturer's Golf and Country Club

Both posted with permission from the club.

 Kyle,

Can't you get rid of those evergreens in back of #8 Manny's?

Mike Sweeney,

Atta way to ruin a beautiful picture of the Long Island Sound with a bunch of doofus architectural junkies.  Especially those two tall Gomer looking guys back middle  ;)  Thanks also to you and Jason for posting such large pictures that I'd need Tom Paul's 24" flat panel to see half of it!

Did Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit pop into your head while snapping the photographs?

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small

When men on the chessboard
get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen softly dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's off with her head
Remember what the doormouse said:
"Feed your Head
Feed your Head!"

Kyle,

Can't you get rid of those evergreens in back of #8 Manny's?

But they hide that hideous looking old historic farmhouse that meshes perfectly with the terrain and feel of the course!

Who would want to see that?

TIM:
There it is!
ARTHUR:
What, behind the rabbit?
TIM:
It is the rabbit.
ARTHUR:
You silly sod!
TIM:
What?
ARTHUR:
You got us all worked up!
TIM:
Well, that's no ordinary rabbit!
ARTHUR:
Ohh.
TIM:
That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!
ROBIN:
You tit! I soiled my armour I was so scared!
TIM:
Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!

That picture is great! Name that movie?

Stop posting words - we can do that all day every day.  Post a few more of these brilliant pictures - they don't happen every day.

Great,

But which of the course photos makes the course look natural, and which make the course look contrived?  This is not a criticism of your fabulous photos - they are to be doted on - but which of the courses stand up to such great and revealing photogrphy?

I'd forgotten just how big those mounds are on the 1st hole at TR...frameable and wall-worthy.
