Hillcrest CC in Los Angeles. I believe it's a William F. and William P. Bell collaboration with a little help from Robert Muir Graves. Loved the golf course.

David, Once again, it's a very good course, but one that has sort of  devolved over a longh period of time.

Hi  Kyle,

You are right about the white course its longer than the 6300 indicated!  With the recent changes, they need to re-do the yardage for cards next year.

Best,

Dale

Dale,

6300 is actually the new card yardage. Old yardage was an even 6000. Those are now the "White" tees, with the "Blues" being 6300. Feels longer because the shortest par 3 is still 160 uphill, and with 3 of them over 200...

Don't you mean Wisky?  ;D

Muskegon CC, the first course Donald Ross built in Michigan, is under 6500 yards from the tips and is a fantastic golf course with a wonderful set of greens.

myopia is just over 6500 yds as is fishers island- but if we forego a few yds these would be my picks save and except merion east prior to the recent lengthening - at 6482 (the original back tees) has to be yard for yard the best course anywhere on the planet.
