Brian, on the par 6, what stops you from taking the direct route off the tee?  On the map, looks like that's as close as driving over the water to the left.

I think this may have mentioned this earlier in the thread.

When these photos were taken it was possible if you could hit a carry of I guess 280-90 yards , and I have seen it done .

But since then they have planted trees in the way to force you over the water .

Not a 100% on this but I am waiting a report on such things from friends who are at the tournament .
