I saw some astonishment on this board that it cost $15 m to re-do Harding Park.  How about $25 m for TPC Sawgrass? :o

This must include the cost of a new clubhouse as the existing one will be demolished as part of the work to be done.

The article does mention a new clubhouse, but can that be more than 20% of the total?

This will be a " Grand Mediterranean style clubhouse" Accordingly, my guess is that with all the marble and granite and cherrywood lockers and dining facilities the cost will be "grand." Maybe they will use the famous showerheads from Merion too. ;D

I must of read a more detailed article.  It said the course would be about 6 - 8 m and the CH would be about 16-18 m.  They are also doing a bunch of related stuff like shotlink kiosks throughtout the course, and expanded practice amenities with PGA tour academy.  It said that they are going to plate each fairway with sand, removing the existing organic topsoil.  Add subaerification and drainage to the greens.

The CH is to include a Walk of Fame entrance.  Enhanced spectator view will be added at holes 16, 17 and 18.  Whatever that entails.

It does say that Pete Dye is overseeing the course work.

I wonder if they are going to extend 17 at all..  I'd love to see that hole play 170-180 if the conditions were right.. With the option to play it from the current ~140 tees if there was heavy wind.
