anyone played any of them?

a scary note about the RTJ Jr. course there in GolfWorld:
" Some form of forced carry over dense patches of protected native grasses or wetlands figures in all but a few of Kaluhyat's holes."
199 played, only Augusta National left to play!

Paul,

I've played Shennendoah & Kaluhyat but not Atonyute.

Of those two, I enjoyed Shenandoah much more than Kaluhyat for  some of the reason. I think that some of the individual holes at Kaluhyat we're very good, but as a whole, Senandoah was much better. Many more options off the tee, greens sites have a better flow and a few of the holes have some central hazards.  Par 4 3rd hole is very strong for a short/drive & pitch hole. The par 3's, we're good but somewhat repetative in distance. #17 is a very good par 3.

At Kaluhyat, RTJ II routed the course in & out of some wooded areas and it just seems forced.

Atonyute has very limited play and they are postitioning it like Cascata & Shadow Creek like the Vegas cascino's.

Here is the Google Maps of the courses.

You can see Shenandoah

Kaluhyat (about 70% complete - rest of the routing to the east)

Atonyute in early shaping.

I know Bill V did the tour very recently and will have an opinion if he see's this.

all the pricing is on the website...if you stay, and feel "flush", the new, seperate "Lodge" is very very well done ( and very  "modern").... to me Shenandoah is the most enjoyable, most interestingly designed of the three....and the effort (maintenance, pro shop pesonnel) "they" are expending on golf is truly admirable

Paul - Yes, Vegas like  charges for Atonyute. Have not seen it yet. Hope for some late fall discounts.

Scott - Did you think Kaluhyat's routing was forced? I heard a story there was some land that they wanted for the course that they could not aquire so they had to make do. Not sure I beleive that.
