Seriously, while the style of the original post may be inflamatory, the comparison is relevant. If I was a architect, I would be more interested in the opinions of BSG than GCA. BSG are better players, play more public courses which is the bulk of development today, and probably have no biases towards architecture.
They don't really care about architecture, but they seem to be truthful. If I walk into a business meeting in NYC, I don't think about the architecture usually. However, if the architect asked me a question, I would tell him. When Geoffrey and I played with a few Bombsquad guys at Yale, clearly they did not like blind holes or "tricked up" greens. It is easy to take a shot at them, but they and not us may be the future of golf architecture!
