Jim Malone is a class guy and if not for the silly 6th green -- the pin was directly behind the first tier he and his partner would have had a very good probability in qualifying.

Many thanks for the introduction.

By the way -- Alpine would not have played much differently even from the back tees -- the gap between many of the holes is quite insignificant in regards to actual club selection into the greens themselves. The question boils down to the heat and humidity that many of the players encountered.

I still believe the upgrades I suggested would work quite well.
