Tiger is playing the fourth and it appears a huge old tree on the left side of the lake came crashing down on some spectators. That's what I can make of it.

I'm watching on TNT right now, and a huge limb fell from a tree to the left of the 4th green.  No one in the gallery was injured, however, they were removing a PGA employee on a stretcher.

The television commentators don't believe that he was hurt badly, but still pretty scary, could've been quite a disaster.

Sounds like a very lucky outcome (except for that one staffer). If it's near the hole Tiger's playing there must be a huge gallery. Something like that could kill or injure dozens, worst case.

Donīt know if that is an omen, but the Internet scoreboard shows Tiger 7 over for the tournament thru five holes today.  Cut maybe at 3.  Heīs got a long way to go to make it to the weekend.

I have an HDTV recorder running at home (or I hope so...my luck with electronic devices lately has been poor) so in an hour or so I'll go home and back it up a ways and watch while I have supper. It's great when you give it enough head start to let you <FF> through the endless TNT commercials.

It will be interesting to see Tiger grinding his way through the back nine trying to make the cut. I wouldn't bet against him but he needs to hit just about every GIR from here on in.
