Would love to combine Machrihanish with Machrie.  Finegan's two Big Macs.  So far, I have not found a way to fly from Campbeltown to Islay without having to go back to Glasgow.  The ferry over is slow and expensive.  I spose one really has to really want to play Machrie or it won't happen.

If you figure out a practical way to do a Machrihanish/Machrie outing without spending a fortune in airfares and/or entire day(s) of commuting time let me know. Such an option would likely render all discussion of London, Fife, Aberdeen or East Lothian moot in terms of planning my trip next summer. Being able to do 4-5 rounds at Machrihanish and 2-3 at Machrie in less than a week is like the Holy Grail, no?

I was also very happy seeing Tam winning this one .

He played all week with a smile on his face , and a nod and a wink for everyone .

If you watched it on the telly , I was one of those fools that ran back to the 18th tee on both playoff holes , just so I could walk up the fairway with him , one more time .

A Gentleman.
