Hey guys,
I am headed up to play golf this coming weekend to CT and was looking for any advice. I am playing fairfield, but other than that I do not know ANYTHING around the area? public or private I have no clue. any suggestions would be great, and of course this is not a topic to ask to play anyones course. Just need advice...thank you very much. I heard shorehaven is a sporty fun course in that area? I have played stanwich before but would rather not play there again, was not overwhelmed with it. I only know of stanwich and farifield, so any imput would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again

Need to check out Tim Liddy & Pete Dye's Wintonbury Hills. First class public course NW of Hartford.

Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun casino (don't remember which) has a couple of brand new courses - worth a visit to their website to check out.

In the SW part of the state, your best public bet is Richter Park.  Locals get preferential tee times, but they have an early afternoon block of times set aside for non-locals.

Your best option in the state is the Yale course.

I agree that Wintonbury Hills is worth playing...it might be a bit of a trek for you if you are staying in the Fairfield area, though.

Lake of Isles is the new course that the Foxwoods Casino just opened, and I've heard generally good things from those who have played it.

I hope you enjoy your stay!

also heard some good things about foxwoods but Yale has to be your top priority
