Tim,

I taught Golf Course Design Fundamentals at my Alma Mater, University of Richmond (SPIDER PRIDE!!!) in the 90's as part of their Masters Program in Sports Management, now defunct, probably because of my involvement.

Not sure if you would want my notes (or even if I can find them) but the majority of time was spent on map reading, terrain analysis and routing.  Basic stuff.

I'll help in any way I can.  Talk soon my friend.
