Thanks all for directing me toward Golf Architecture. I have just finished reading about 6 volumes and it has been a revelation. I never dreamed a golf magazine could be such a great read. Golf Architecture is far and away the best golf mag I have ever read. I especially like the newer volumes. Each volume in turn seems to get better than the last.
Particular pieces of outstanding quality are:
Tom Macwood's
An Englishman Abroad
Rise And Fall Of Criticism
Simpson
Neil Crafter's Around The World On A Golf Tour and with John Scarth, The Old Man:Walter Travis
Mackenzie, Russell & Morcom by Dr. John Green
A Review of St. Enodoc by Noel Freeman & Russell Talley
Perhaps Golf Architecture should come out twice a year!
Ciao
