This is another technique Tom MacWood tends to resort to if someone doesn't agree with some of the things he says, concludes and suggests. He tends to assume they must be drunk---if it's not assuming they don't know much or haven't read all it takes to understand and appreciate what he's written. Believe me, I know!
Tom MacWood probably needs to loosen up himself with a few drinks from time to time or perhaps more often. I'm in the habit of donating flasks to those who might want to expand their imaginations regarding golf architecture--most of those origiinal "Philly School" guys were pretty good pals of John Barleycorn too---maybe I should include him in the "original Philly School of architecture"
