I agree bill. This is 93 acres chock full of GREAT par fours
beautifully placed over hills gullies and ravines.the par threes are also challenging but not as engaging as those at
Brookside or Essex County.

# 14 is deservedly famous as a long 4 par.
But 4, 6, 13, and 17 are also wonderful golf holes....A Ross
masterpiece with a great supt,   Paul Jamrog,  who cares for this gem.Worth a special trip.

Concur gentlemen.

I like the quirky start too, the dog leg and the downslope start at the same point, pretty cool.

We used to have a contributor on here that was a Metacomet member and great ambassador for the game, Dick Cessana, we miss you Dick.

Metacomet is a prime example of Ross' routing skills. THere is probably more superb golf per square yard then any course I know. 8, 9, 10 and 14 are wonderful holes.

I played with Bill and Dick Cessana and it was one of those special days on a golf course.  Dick was a special character and a dear friend.

Dick was a real class act, and I miss him too.

Metacomet is a wonderful example of the restoration magic of Ron Prichard.

It's a real treat.
