I understand that after the Flagstaff Hill opening, that Gary Player uttered one of those lines that he is famous for -

'these are the finest putting surfaces I have ever played on'.

Apparently, he took some of the turf/seed home to South Africa.  He must have a veritable nursery of turf and bunker sands at his home in South Africa from his travels over the years.

The classic Gary Player line (joke - not real) was 'this is the finest pencil that I have ever marked a golf score card with). :)
