David Tepper,

Your ignorance of my purpose or intentions is truly profund.

Then what was your purpose or intentions ?

For you to imply that I was somehow casting aspersions upon or making insinuations regarding the motivations of any of the parties involved in Hidden Creek or the staging this event is both mistaken and appalling. It is astonishing to me you could draw that inference.

It's simple.  If you were genuinely interested, why didn't you email or IM me directly, off line ?

If you were genuine, why not contact the club, a member, or me ?  Directly, off line ?

But, you weren't and aren't genuinely interested.
You wanted to malign the club, Roger and the get together, infering that the purpose of the get together was to sell real estate.

For a person who claims to know what is in 'good taste,' it may very well be time for you to take a refresher course.
YOU, chose to pose the question about the value of real estate lots on a thread devoted to the structuring and assembling of an architectural get together for GCA.com'ers, the third of its kind, not me.   You're the one with bad manners and poor taste.

You chose your words and the medium to express them.
If you were genuinely interested you would have made your inquiries privately, and certainly not on this thread.
Your post has been properly categorized as sleazy, or ill advised at best

Doug,

Are you sure about those directions ?

And, wouldn't the construction be completed 10 days from now ?

Doug,

Are you sure about those directions ?

I was in the area last night, and did a quick ride by the club, just to be sure I knew where I was going in a week and a half.  I always need to know where I am, and where I'm going.  When I came upon Mill Rd being closed, I found an alternate route that was easy to follow, and did the drive myself to the circle at the end of Asbury Rd.

-Also, I wouldn't put it here unless I was 100% sure of it, unless I did it myself, which I did, about 7:30 last night.

-I don't know for certain, as I'm not on the construction crew, but after living in NJ for 27 years, I feel confident knowing that I always need a backup plan or alternate directions to get where I need to be.

Jerry: Chef Vola's ............

Unfortunately. I thought it was Monday nite not Sunday nite for dinner, sorry I won't be able to attend.

My daughters (4) are having a "bash" of sorts for me for my birthday (don't even ask!).

This, in "retaliation"   8) for my son in laws taking me to Las Vegas for 4 days last weekend - yikes, a fun time

Hitting milestones can be fun.
If a player insists on playing his maximum power on his tee-shot, it is not the architect's intention to allow him an overly wide target to hit to but rather should be allowed this privilege of maximum power except under conditions of exceptional skill.

FYI - Darryl Cluster, Laura and I are looking for one player for our foresome.  Don't worry - Laura knows how to play fast (we can do 9 holes in under 90 minutes in a cart), and she really 'gets' architecture.

I'm a 14 and Laura plays to about a 22.

Thanks!

Wow! Laura plays to a 22, gets architecture, and can play 18 in about 3 hours.  I'll take Laura but your not invited Dan ;D

Her problem is that she insists on playing left-handed.  She needed to pass the golf test before we got married, and she passed with flying colors.   ;)

I'm playing with Bill Dow, Garry Parkin and Lloyd Cole.  Last I heard anyway, Garry is coming.  Driving to HC with Cary Lichtenstein who's hanging around Philadelphia for a spell.  Unlike Tommy N-- hurrumph, hurrumph!  I think if Garry is not coming, a hack of a golf pro and heck of a nice guy from NC might team up with us.

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Attendees,

When you have finalized arranging your foursome and all checks are in to Hidden Creek, please have the captain of each foursome email Lori Burke at Hidden Creek with the names in your group.

This will enable us to co-ordinate caddies, carts and bags with your starting hole, insuring an on time tee off in the afternoon.

Thanks

Rob,

Confirming it on this thread doesn't get the info to the appropriate parties.

I have nothing to do with arranging foursomes.

Send the info to Lori Burke at the email address I provided.

Thanks

Well, I've missed the boat on this one....didn't look at this thread in a couple of days and therefore didn't realize that we were making our own groups.

I'm a single, likely to shoot anywhere between 75 and 95, and will probably spend more time looking at an architectural feature than a putt.

Anyone have an opening?

Mike Plunkett & Mike Trenham,

Please email Lori Burke at:

lburke@hiddencreekclub.com

With information about your foursomes.

Mike Cirba,

Will you supply blindfolds, to only be used while you're chipping, for the other three fellows ?

The Trenhams vs. The Messixes (is that plural for Messix?)
That is a great foursome.  I hope we're hitting into you  ;D
