I was curious about the second and third nines. Are the green complexes and holes designs fairly well preserved here.
Green sizes and contours intact ? Is there a creek that affects play on the third nine. ? thanks for any help

Mark,

Unfortunately, some of the greens on both nines have been altered due to higher green speeds.

On the second nine I believe that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th greens have been modified and perhaps the 6th.

On the third nine, the 6th green has been altered.

The first green to be altered was the 2nd on the second nine.
I don't like the current version.

The first nine was disfigured to allow for tennis courts, with holes # 1, 2, and 9 being altered.  Subsequently, the neat, blind, uphill, sklyline green that was hole # 8 was abandoned and a new par three created, which I'm also not fond of.

The fourth nine remains largely intact.

Hope that helps.

Mark:

At the botton portion of the property there is a creeek that comes into play on a few holes on the 3rd nine. -- if memory serves -- I believe it is a tributory of the Peckman.

Mark,

It is the Peckman and it affects play on the second, third and fourth nines.

The use of the feature is interesting.

Mark,

I've always prefered # 2 and # 4.

# 1 was a good nine until the changes which altered four holes were undertaken.  I think they've also altered the 4th hole and perhaps one other, so, it's a shadow of its former self.

# 3 is an interesting nine, but, again, the changes don't inspire me.

Increased green speeds and the tennis courts have been responsible for disfiguring the golf course.

But, despite the changes, it's a very interesting 36 holes.
