You aren't kidding! Old Head is a remarkably dramatic site (and sight) even without a golf course. I still can't believe they were permitted to build a golf course there given the historic, anthropological and particularly geological significance of that site. Geologically it's supposedly one of the most significant in the world not to mention that little area was apparenly the original home of the first peoples to habitate Ireland---the Eireannes!
If anyone in the USA even asked permission to use a site of that kind of significance they'd probably be arrested for even asking!
