What architects were, or are, the best at altering their architecture, or their aesthetic, to blend with the site?

Tom,
any 'architect' who has to 'alter' their 'architecture' or their 'aesthetic' to 'blend with a site' ain't no architect...!

FBD.

Washed the people coal-black from the hole in the ground.

Tillinghast

Parkland like WF, QR, SH, Fenway, Baltusrol etc

vs

Seaside like Newport and Rockaway Hunting Club

vs

Heathland style like Bethpage

They are very different, unique and each style works.

what Geoff said.

The contrast of Newport to WFW couldn't be starker.
