Don't forget Jersey is the home of Pine Valley -- the fact that it's on the Jersey side of the Delaware makes me grin knowing how it must make folks from the Keystone State have to pay the toll to come the state with the best course in all the world. ;D

I'm game for the 5:30 PM start at the location redanman specified.

Relaw -- us heathens in Jersey are quite nice people -- it's dealing with the "nose in the air" snobs that can be quite an experience. Of course -- you would not know such people. ::)

Matt, speak for yourself when you say "nice"...  ;D I'd NEVER apply that term to me...

Matt:

Relaw?? What is that? Is something I did in my murky past that you know about coming back to haunt me?

People with their noses in the air? Snobs? Yeah, I guess I've met one or two in my time but like you I think they're jerks!

Chip:

You're a piece of work. You're right----my diction probably has slipped since I move out of NY and down to these hinterlands. At least that's what my stepmother, a real New Yorker, if I ever met one, always told me.

Next time you come down here you better be wearing white tie or I ain't-a-gunna speak to you!

I would love to meet Celeste Ward some day.  Anyone who married him knowing how much he travels to golf has got to be something special!   :D

I wish you could be there---this is the city of brothely love after-all and with 14 people around the table I'd certainly like to tap a wine class and ask you to get up and explain in detail to all of them why you think it's so significant that Crump blew his brains out----something you seem hesitant to do for some reason on your "Unsolved Mystery" thread, despite stating on that thread you think that is significant, and despite me, and also Robert Thompson, asking you to.

Not sharing the "proof" is not nice  :-\  Why do you withold the source of the "truth" you say you've uncovered?  Further, why is it significant?

Its difficult to analyze history without the facts, and even more difficult with incorrect info...that is why historians are constantly digging for information.

Mike
Yes, for the time being. I made a mistake in sharing my other sources....I had hoped that information would be handled discretely.

"Wayne

Well, that explains exactly nothing.  I asked you simple and specific questions and you do not answer them.

My suggestion is, if you are not willing to share definitive proof, keep your findings to yourself.

I doubt there are many on this site who have shared more information than yours truly. I'm not one to hoard info. When I have all my ducks in a row I'll share this as well.

If I ever write a book I take it you won't be interested offering testimonial. On the other hand I kind of like the idea of having...

I think you may have set a new record for modifying posts.

Then, please, next time have all your ducks in a row BEFORE you share them.  I still think your info is not all it is quacked up to be.

"I think you may have set a new record for modifying posts."

Perhaps so.  You can be incredibly irritating.  I debated how I would respond to your lack of consideration.  In the end, I decided I shouldn't be mean to you--therefore my repeated corrections.  Sorry for getting personal.  I think you are handling this matter about Crump in a very strange way.

"If I ever write a book I take it you won't be interested offering testimonial."

I'd be interested in writing a testimonial, I'm not so sure you'd be interested in using it  ;)

I take it anything cold will not be on the menu.....

Wish I was going to be there with you guys, have a great time.

My bet is Celeste Ward will be wanting to know bottling facts and Wine Spectator ratings from the tips for whatever juice products are being sold....Make sure you have that information handy Redanman. You don't want to get on her bad side!  ;)

And if you would have told me that Sela Ward was also going to be there, I would have most definitely been on a plane.

Just wanted to say thank you to Mark and Bill V. for putting this on--I believe I can speak for the group-a great time was had by all.
Myself, I thank all of you at the table--it was great to meet more GCA'ers and renew friendships with ones I've met prior!

Looking forward to the next events and dinners to come-

I agree totally with Doug's remarks. Thanks again Bill and it was a pleasure to meet Mark.

It was certainly interesting to see Mark Fine's plans for Cherry Hills and to hear him talk about this project. We'll see some of his work on tv this summer when the Women's Open is held there and the finished product of this Flynn restoration when the USGA awards a Senior Open to CH.

Maybe we'll all see a review of Town & Country's World of Golf which I loaned to Tom Paul for his perusal.

Did anyone take minutes of this meeting?

Steve,
It was fun.  I highly doubt that anyone took minutes, as there were all kinds of discussions going on.  At least we sorted out Matt Ward.  That was the biggest accomplishment at the meeting  :)

You did? Well, now I am impressed. Would you like to go sort out the problems in the Middle East now that you're on a roll?
