Your membership should be a good source, too, plus provide access. A good starting place book is Donald Steel's "Classic Golf Links of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland". There are at least eight copies for $20-40 on Barnes and Nobles website, Out of print section. Great routing maps, photos.
