The "Best New" rankings are published annually in the February issue. "America's Top 100" and the "Best in State" rankings are published in the May issue in odd years. The next ranking will appear in May 2005.

GOLF MAGAZINE's Top 100 in the US and the World will be in the September 2005 issue which comes out in mid-August, in case you're setting your calendar for mail box watching.

I need to correct my previous statement regarding "Best New" Issue. It is January not February>

In this month's top 75 resort issue they have Eseeola Lodge in Linville, NC in the top twenty. It's described as having an old Ross course that is being restored. I've never heard of the place until today. Has anybody been there and what makes it so highly thought of?

Bill,

The Ross course tied to the Eseeola Lodge (the course is otherwise private) is Linville CC, a fairly well-known course.

Scott,

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure how I've always overlooked mention/listing of this course.
