Paul,

Re: Loading Cow onto Motorbike

As anyone experienced in these matters (or a Canadian  ;) ) can tell you, 3 people are the minimum required for loading a cow onto a motorbike, preferably one about the same size as the cow in question. As you can see from the pic, these guys are small and lacking the pivotal 3rd person. Obviously the results were not as they had envisaged when starting the exersise, with the bike promptly flipping over onto its back and the cow getting pretty pissed off.

They were very persistent however, and with a few quick and acrobatic moves, eventually managed their feat, with one guy positioned on the bike seat and the other hanging off the front handlebars as counter balance (doubtless affecting the visibility of the driver and the roadworthiness of the bike). I have my doubts whether they made their destination and both cow and riders may well have been added to China's 80,000 plus annual road toll.

Fazio said that what Pete Dye did at The Stadium Course at PGA West was incredible. I think the TPC at Sawgrass is a good answer. It was just a swamp.

But the site at English Turn in New Orleans (Nicklaus) was actually below sea level and they had to dredge like crazy to stabilize the site. After it opened, the ground continued to shift -- one tee dropped 15 feet.

Colonial CC, Fort Worth, TX.

Bredemus worked wonders on a dead-flat river basin.  And to top it off, North Texas has some of the worst soil that is hard as a rock.
