Ross Society in Town, but not invited

My whining worked.  John Stiles called and I have been invited to the small gathering at Broadmoor in Indiana. I think it is time for me to join the Ross Society!

I didn't realize you lived in Indy...I thought you were further up north.   Do you know if Fuzzy was invited....of course in Indiana thats kinda like inviting the Pope to your kids first communion.   Please listen closely and report back if you think the Society gives a damn about French Lick or not.    Of course Broadmoor does fit the Society mold so much better than the Lick..

Why do you believe Broadmoor fits better?  The course has been changed very little in the club's history which is certainly a positive, but the course is now so choked with trees many of the intended strategies have been eliminated.

Having a beautiful bunker dead center in a grove of trees sure looks funny!  Hopefully the Society can convince the powers that be at the club to hire a tree removal service.

I too would like to see what they have to say about French Lick. Do you think they might have a a bias to good Donald Ross courses or is it a work in progress for a consulting gig?

Just to remove any confusion (or maybe not),   everyone in the DRS was invited to the outing at the Broadmoor.  

DRS members are reminded .......   it is still not to late to come to the event if you are so inclined.  The DRS website has the particulars in regards to the Broadmoor fund raising event  -or-   you can call me.

The members at Broadmoor were very kind to invite the DRS.   The event is a nice fund raiser (again thanks to Broadmoor members) for the DRS Foundation efforts in supporting Tufts Archives, Friends of George Wright, etc.  I believe Bruce Hepner is scheduled to speak in regards to efforts to date and future plans at the Broadmoor.

Non-DRS members should visit the DRS website,  donaldrosssociety.org,   if you have an interest in joining.  There are many good articles and reminders of upcoming events.  The password to the site has been removed in the interest of sharing information.  

For DRS members,    a similar event is planned at Peninsula CC in California for March 3-6 timeframe (details later).  It is being planned as a fund raiser also.

If you want to discuss the DRS,  give me a call and I will try to answer any of your questions about anything you would like to discuss.   If you are a DRS member, I will also forward any information that you might request.
