Oak Hollow in High Point, NC should definitely be on the list. 1971 Pete Dye Course with half the holes bordering large lake. Course has small but wild greens. I can see it in as high a class as many of the courses near the top of this list. I have played the Ocean Course and Oak Hollow was better IMHO. Too bad nobody has played it
I like Tim's suggestion - we should have a list called "The Top 100 You Can Really Play" and only include courses where it is possible to play a non-twilight weekend time for under $100.Taking the list below, I believe the top 10 would be:1. Bethpage (Black)2. World Woods (Pine Barrens)3. Dancing Rabbitt4. Paa-Ko Ridge5. Black Mesa6. Harding Park (I assume residents are under 100)7. Wild Horse8. Pinon Hills9. Grand National (Lake)10. Sugarloaf
Agree with your comments about Belgrade Lakes... The rocks at time do seem a bit contrived ....
