GCAtlas enters the (very) mainstream
« on: August 17, 2004, 08:20:00 AM »

I was in K Mart today and saw a new golf book called "Golf ...it's a funny game."  Inside the garish red cover and LCD title is a superb collection of 40 odd golf course photgraphs from  David Scaletti (Many of you would be familiar with his work in Paul Daley's books or at www.sportscapes.com).

THe general layout of the book is a photo on one side of the layout paired with a short description of the photo and a quote about golf on the other from some of the great names in the game.  Names such as Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Bob Hope, Muhammad Ali, Tom Doak, Bill Coore...  Tommy Naccarato, Bill "redanman" Vostinak and Jaka B.   So there you go, Jaka B might be dead but his words live on, inspiring the  beer swilling, boot wearing, K mart shopping, common man.

But all in all, a great little book for 20 bucks.  A great collection of photos from the US, UK, and Australia by one of the best Golf Course photographers in the game.

Ask not what GolfClubAtlas can do for you; ask what you can do for GolfClubAtlas.

The reports of the death of JakaB have been greatly exagerated....please send you copies with a self addressed stamped envelope to:

JakaB
P.O. Box 551
Lawrenceville, Il 62439

and he will sign the book in a personal manner for either you or your friends....hurry and beat the Christmas rush...

Is that why Kmart's stock was up $11 yesterday?
