Two pieces of advice for anyone that hasn't used JetStar before. Make sure that you pay for your luggage in advance no matter what and plan wisely if you are tall. I've used them a few times between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur because they fly into the main terminal instead of the LCC like Tiger and Air Asia and at 5'9" I often feel cramped height-wise. When I was in Australia in March a buddy flew them from Melbourne to Sydney (while I was on Qantas) without paying for his luggage in advance and he ended up paying $200 or so in luggage fees when it would have been something like $60 in advance. Other than that I find them quite handy.
