Bernhardt Langer is not exactly mainstream tour pro, He's way above that. And No Doubt, his attention to detail, is well within his make-up, and likely, hugely responsible for his longevity at being successful. Not all those guys are that good.

Back on point. I will admit to not reading the knbr interview, because I saw JM interviewed over a week ago. It was on that off-beat sports network show. He was wearing shades and he seemd very candid.

Most of the criticism hurled at him always seems so petty. Jealous really. He has lasted the test of time in the booth and in our world, that ain't easy. His house on the coast is something to envy, however. ;)

Great respect for Johnny Miller's on course accomplishments, as well as his off course candor, confidence, integrity, and sincere commitment to family.

Great frustration with his golf courses.  Goofy greens, lack of choices in ways to reach said goofy greens.  Have played Eagle Ridge (Gilroy, CA), Sierra Nevada (Genoa Lakes, NV), Stonetree (Novato, CA) and Badlands (Vegas), which tops my list of the worst course I've ever played.

Surprising given all the great tracks he's seen & conquered, but I have no desire to revisit any of these or any of his others.

Seems Mr. Miller is taking his frustration with the current state of his golf game out on the rest of us.

Thanks, Bill V

If you ever feel the need to agree with me again, e-mail Tom Paul, George Pazin and a few others--they have medication to deal with this syndrome.

As for Shivas, my guess is he is far better acquainted with Ed Debevic than Ed Humenik.

Who knows...there are car guys I know who say they can detect changes in their car's handling if a tire's pressure is off spec by a psi.  I sure can't detect that.

PS to Emmett...one to add is the "inspired by Royal Dornoch" course called The Bridges which is in San Ramon, CA.  Surely one of the most unenjoyable courses you can find anywhere.

I have been invited to play Mr. Miller's Bridges design on more than one occasion---and have found an excuse to avoid it each and every time.

When in the East Bay, I much prefer Greg Norman's Wente Vineyards course.
