I've always been intrigued by Cobbs Creek. I think it is enormously interesting how it comes into play in 2 out of the 3 courses designed by Wilson. The fact that the courses are not adjacent, but some 3+ miles apart makes it even more extraordinary. It is certainly a fact that cannot be said of any other architect.

I don't know that it has a proper name, but I love the cross bunker on #4 Bethpage Black.

That is the Glacier, great hazard isn't it!
What does it matter if the poor player can putt all the way from tee to green, provided that he has to zigzag so frequently that he takes six or seven putts to reach it?     --Alistair Mackenzie--

You should never go in it, but the Well at Painswick is one of the coolest (6th and 11th).  Did anyone go in it during the 2004 Ryder Cup?

It is my understanding that many golfers have gone into The Well, but none have ever come out.........

Oh, and I should add that "Cat's Brain Quarry" at Painswick is my favo(u)rite name for a hazard.

Devil's A__-hole at Barnbougle Dunes... (disappeared)

George Watters built that one on 15th with 10 scoops of shovel around some marram grass. It was just short of the far left bunker on that hole...

I have a picture at home of this, you could barely stand in it.

I think the water surrounding the 17th at Sawgrass is pretty memorable. I am not sure I like the looks of the course but the shot value of that teeshot is immense!
