Its far from the best, but in LA here we have our very own Roosevelt, which is a pretty fun course with 5-fours and four-threes, and its a kick to play.

In its day, Chevy Chase in Glendale got a lot of press. Billy Bell design in the hills. I have never really seen it in person, but I'm sure someone like Ted has been in there to screw things up a bit. It was slated to get another 9 early in its inception, but it never happened. Instead it became a really popular real estate development, and I think homes abound the course.

If courses, also means short courses, PV and Valderamma have two great short courses.  Eltham Warren in London is a fine 9 hole course.  Alnmouth Village in Northumberland (I'm sure Jonathan will chime in here, if he sees it) is a links 9 holer...

I suppose you can add Princes (Old Open Venue adjacent to 14th at Royal st Georges) into the equation as it has 27 holes, 18 of which are regarded as the main course (shore and dunes) and another 9 called the Himalayas.
