Oh, I get your point now.

Pat - It takes two to tango. I could say the same thing about you, but I don't. Whether or not its true, I assume that when you disagree with me, its because you feel differently about whatever it is we're discussing. What FACTS do you have to support your conclusion that I am different than you?

If I'd never have been exposed to Bandon Dunes, I'd never have got the bug to go to Ireland and Scotland (and subsequently Nebraska and Colorado) for golfing experiences and golf architecture educations.

I get the feeling that if Mike Keiser was losing money, he'd still pump his own money into its survival. I think about his vision and (trickle-down?) altruism for the Oregon community and am appreciative that he made it public (and affordable in the Winter which really isn't wintery weather).  I dream of someday playing Friar's Head but its Private domainship, if one uses the 'displacement theory', is preloaded as uninviting. That is not to say it personifies elitism. I just think that if it were public it would have a different aura;  one that leans toward the accessibility of the old ways of the auld sod.

  Thanks Mike.
