I played Indianwood for the first time yesterday. Wow, what a piece of land 30 miles north of Detroit. The land reminded me of gentler version of the land Kingsley is on. The course is most challenging off the tee, for the fairways are often narrow. Also it is a course that one needs to play many times to learn a thing or two each round. The greens are predominantly small circular with some good movement in them. Lots of quirk out there with short holes offering options. One needs to make up options with their own creativity. Only 2 par 5's on the course. Some improvements in angles and re-routing of small ponds would help. Just a few minor tweaks, but I love this course and could play it everyday. Some Penal holes with bunkers left and right of the tee equal distant from the tee box. The greens took a beating this winter and hopefully will recover. Looking forward to seeing you this fall at TWGS gathering at a special course.
